Subject: IUP Tenure Track Counselor Education Position

The Department of Counseling at Indiana University of Pennsylvania invites applications for a tenure track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level to begin August 2012.  A doctoral degree, preferably from a CACREP-accredited program in Counselor Education is required. ABD applicants must have degree completed by time of appointment.  Specialization and experience in Clinical Mental Health Counseling is preferred.  Teaching experience is desired, and evidence of scholarship or scholarly potential is preferred.  Summer teaching opportunities (starting summer 2012) may be available. The successful candidate is expected to teach on the main campus in Indiana, PA and at our location in Pittsburgh, PA.  Candidates must successfully complete the interview(s), which will include a teaching demonstration. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled; however, in order to receive full consideration applications must be received by January 16, 2012.  Submit (a) letter of application addressing clinical mental health counseling experience and philosophy, (b) curriculum vita, (c) graduate transcripts, (d) teaching evaluations (if available), and (e) three letters of reference.
