Prepare to take the Ohio licensure exam for professional counselors - the National Counselor Exam (NCE). Included in the workshop will be a review of key concepts and an in-depth explanation of basic statistical and assessment concepts. Study skills, test-taking strategies, and stress reduction techniques will also be discussed. Participants will have the opportunity to answer pre-test questions to identify areas of strength and weakness. Course materials include a comprehensive exam preparation handbook which includes practice questions and exercises to reinforce statistic and assessment concepts.

Ky Heinlen, Ph.D., PCC-S is a licensed psychologist and full-time counseling faculty at Tri-C and has taught at both Cleveland State University and Ursuline College as an Adjunct Professor. She has presented this workshop for over 10 years and has assisted previous workshop participants in successfully passing the licensure exam.
