OSCA is excited to begin sharing with our members an exciting new opportunity we are involved in regarding college access training in Ohio. OSCA, along with the Ohio College Access Network (OCAN), OACAC and OASFAA, have received grant funding through the Ohio Board of Regents to coordinate and expand the college advising professional development offered to school counselors.

Part of the grant will fund the employment of a one-year, full-time Statewide College Access Training Liaison that will be housed at OCAN located in Columbus. Click here<http://www.ohioschoolcounselor.org/EmailTracker/LinkTracker.ashx?selId=fdqfi2EjfXr%2fF7NAisyEhw7rTsXlH%2f36HcubhdX2Kd0%2f9v1fDQIp7t4%2b%2bcctk%2bHJ> to download a full description of the position requirements. In this grant, OCAN will collaborate with OACAC, OASFAA and OSCA to coordinate statewide training activities for school counselors and access advisors. The training liaison will work with all four associations. This position is a great opportunity for a licensed school counselor who is not working in a school setting to gain school counseling-related experience and to be involved with an exciting new state-wide initiative that will strengthen the school counseling profession.

Application Procedure: Interested candidates should submit a cover letter and resume to MorraLee Holzapfel, Director of Outreach & Member Services at ocan at ohiocan.org<mailto:ocan at ohiocan.org> no later than Friday, July 1, 2011. Question regarding the position can be directed to MorraLee at 614-947-3500.
