Subject: Substance Abuse Faculty Position Opening

Dear Dr. Leinbaugh,

The University of Cincinnati's Substance Abuse Counseling program is reaching out to universities across the nation about a new opportunity within our program. Located within the College of Education, Criminal Justice, and Human Services, the Substance Abuse Counseling program is rapidly expanding and is currently looking for applicants for an Assistant/Associate Tenure-Track Professor position. As we value graduates from strong CACREP programs such as yours at Ohio University, we are looking for your help.
Currently, we offer a bachelor's in substance abuse counseling as well as master's and doctoral degrees in counseling (CACREP accredited) in addition to other related programs (graduate degrees in school psychology and health education). The program anticipates expanding these offerings in the near future and is a leader in online learning. As part of this expansion effort, the program is looking for applicants for an Assistant/Associate Tenure-Track Professor that will begin on September 1, 2011. Some of the responsibilities of this position include teaching undergraduate and graduate substance abuse counseling courses online, program development activities, sustained productivity and growth in research and grant writing, student research mentorship, and service to the program, school, university, and profession.
We are requesting your help in getting the information about this position out to any of your current Ph.D. students who are nearing graduation or others individuals who fit the position qualifications. Application review will begin on February 21, 2011, and will continue until the position is filled. A more detailed job description is attached. Please contact me with any questions (michael.brubaker at uc.edu<mailto:michael.brubaker at uc.edu>; 513-556-9196). We look forward to hearing from you, and thank you for your help.

Sincerely yours,
