Association for Adult Development and Aging
Research Grants – Call for Proposals
2011

Purpose:  The purpose for this call for proposals is to fund studies that increase understanding of issues pertaining to adult development and aging. Preference will be given to research that focuses on normative adult developmental phases, stages, and transitions; wellness and positive aging; and/or diversity in adulthood. We especially encourage research that focuses on the underserved and marginalized. This includes but is not limited to gender, race and sexual orientation.

Amount of Funding: AADA has allocated $1000 to the Research Committee to support deserving adult developmental research. Two $500 grants will be awarded.


Who May Apply: The funds are available to both professional and student members of AADA.  Individuals may submit (or be part of a submission team) for only one proposal. Multiple submissions by any researcher (individually or as part of multiple research teams) will not be accepted. Members of the AADA Board are ineligible to apply.


All proposals will be included in the final determination of awards if received by March 1, 2011.  Recipients will be notified by March 15, 2011.
