Show, by your actions, that you choose peace over war, freedom over oppression, voice over silence, service over self-interest, respect over advantage, cooperation over competition, action over passivity, diversity over uniformity, and justice over all.

ECO CAFÉS AT OHIO UNIVERSITY

Rural Action and partners at Ohio University have developed a series of Eco Cafés to be held in late winter and early spring quarters. The goal of the Eco Cafés is to provide a venue for students, faculty, staff and community members to discuss various social, economic and environmental issues of importance to our region. In particular we would like to help students develop a deeper understanding of the place where they are living, and to present them with opportunities to engage with the material, the work and the region more deeply.

The cafés will be held on selected Wednesdays at 5:00 p.m. in the Front Room (free coffee to the first 50 attendees!). The schedule for the cafés is below, with information about topics and speakers. We will send you more information and flyers to distribute well in advance of each Café´. If you have questions please call the Office of Nationally Competitive Awards at 597-1632. Thank you for your interest.
