> NBCC International (NBCC-I), a division of the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC), manages the Mental Health Facilitator (MHF) program. The MHF is a 30-hour curriculum that trains laypeople, paraprofessionals and professionals from outside mental health in areas such as helping skills and referral. The MHF was developed in consultation with the Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse of the World Health Organization to help correct the imbalance between mental health care needs and resources.
