POSITION:


Counselor

STATUS:


Full-time, 35 hours per week  / May require evening and weekend work.


RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:



 *   Assesses clients referred for alcohol/drug concerns and co-occurring disorders.
 *   Refers clients to appropriate care and develops treatment plans.
 *   Provides individual counseling, group counseling, and facilitates intensive outpatient programs.
 *   Provides urine drug screening and case management for clients.
 *   Reports to referral sources regarding reference to care, progress or lack thereof, and treatment completion.
 *   Provides a leadership role by reviewing, evaluating and supporting treatment services provided by other counselors and assists in the completion of outcome studies to estimate treatment effectiveness and client satisfaction.
 *   Maintains records, write reports, and assists in grant writing.
 *   Performs other duties as assigned.


EDUCATION:


Masters Degree in Community or Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, or Marriage and Family Therapy.


QUALIFICATIONS:


*          Minimum one year professional experience in substance use and/or behavioral health counseling preferred.
*          Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and work independently.
*          Current valid Ohio drivers license, automobile availability and insurance coverage.
