[Counselor_Educ] Volunteer Opportunity at ACA Conference in New Orleans

The Association for Specialists in Group Work (ASGW) Graduate Student
Committee is offering an exciting opportunity for graduate students to meet
and interact with leading counseling professionals at the American
Counseling Association 2011 Annual Conference & Exposition in New Orleans,
LA (March 23-27).  

 

In return for seven hours of service split between the booth and the ASGW
suite, graduate student volunteers will receive a $200 stipend.

Ø  Student volunteers need to be enrolled in a full-time graduate program at
the time of the conference.

Ø  Each applicant will need to electronically submit the application form
along with a 500 word personal statement addressing how your professional
development and leadership might be enhanced through conference attendance
and involvement in professional organizations such as ASGW.

Ø  You may also wish to highlight previous volunteer or conference
activities and any reflections you have upon them.

 

 The application deadline to serve as a student volunteer is  November 30th,
2010.  Applications are located on the ASGW website. 

 

Please email your completed application form and 500 word personal statement
