applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position in its CACREP-accredited School
Counseling program, beginning fall 2011. Responsibilities include teaching core counseling
courses, research, supervision, service, and sharing program leadership.
This is a new position.
The Purdue School Counseling program, a 2007 recipient of the NCACES Outstanding

small, full-time cohorts; and exciting international partnerships, including an ongoing
collaboration with a Dutch university. Almost all students participate in additional grant-
funded professional-growth opportunities.
Required Qualifications
Candidates must hold an earned doctorate in Counselor Education or Counseling Psychology,
preferably from an accredited program; have professional experience in P-12; and
demonstrate a history of, or potential for, scholarly productivity and external funding for
interdisciplinary school-based research. Candidates should be committed to comprehensive
developmental programming to support academic, career, emotional, and social development
in diverse populations of children and adolescents.
Application Procedure
Review of applications will begin December 15, 2010, and will continue until the position is
filled. Send letter of application, curriculum vitae, three letters of recommendation, and a
statement of professional goals relative to the College of Education strategic plan
