Counselor Education Department

We are looking for an individual who:
                *understands the complex mission of teaching, scholarship & service in a growing university
                *has a degree in Counselor Education & Supervision with a strong counselor identity
                *enjoys mentoring students & is comfortable teaching a diverse student body

As a member of the Department you will:
                *teach core courses in CACREP accredited Master's degree in Counseling with both School & Clinical Mental Health Counseling options
                *advise students, help prepare the CAREP self-study and site visit
                *provide leadership & service to practicing counselors statewide through a variety of programs

You will work in a university:
                *of 15,000+ students on a beautiful & growing suburban campus with more than 150 years of history (began as Newark State "normal school")
                *named by Diversity Inc magazine as the 3rd most diverse campus in the US
                *located in a community named the 75th Best Place to Live in the US
                *with additional campuses planned at the Jersey Shore (Tom's River) and Wenzhou, China
                *that is the proud owner of Liberty Hall, a Revolutionary War home and museum of the Kean-Livingston family's collection
