McKendree University seeks applications for a new tenure track, nine month, assistant professor of counseling position. The candidate selected for this position will (a) teach master’s level counseling courses, (b) assist with the development of curriculum for new counseling specializations (e.g., school counseling, couples/family counseling, etc.) and (c) advise students. The successful candidate will be responsible for the oversight and coordination of internship.

Candidates must have an earned doctorate in Counselor Education, experience as a licensed clinical professional counselor or certified school counselor, and evidence of excellence in teaching. Applicants who have completed all requirements except for the dissertation will be considered. Preference will be given to candidates who have graduated from CACREP accredited programs.

Established in 1828, McKendree University is the oldest university in Illinois. McKendree’s location is a blend of urban and rural. The 100 acre Lebanon campus is conveniently located near the St. Louis metropolitan region and various out door recreation areas. McKendree offers over 40 undergraduate degree majors and four graduate degrees.
