Human Resources/Services.  East Central University (ECU) is a student-
centered regional state university located in Ada, Oklahoma. ECU offers 
thirty-five undergraduate baccalaureate degree programs in arts and 
letters, business, education, mathematics and sciences, nursing and the 
social sciences; and nine master's degrees in education, human resources, 
and psychology. ECU's 4,600 students come from 24 countries and 25 
states. About 70% of the 165 faculty hold doctorates. 

The Department of Human Resources seeks applicants for an Assistant 
Professor, tenure track if eligible or Instructor level (non-tenure track). 
Starting date could be January 2011 at the earliest or August 2011 at the 
latest.

RESPONSIBILITITES:  The successful candidate will:  1) be responsible for 
delivering quality instruction in graduate and undergraduate courses in 
one or more of the following areas:  Rehabilitation Counseling, 
Counseling,  and Human Services/Administration;  2) supervise interns 
and practicum; 3) pursue a focused area of research and scholarship that 
culminates in publications, professional presentations, and submission of 
grant proposals; 4) hold active membership in relevant professional 
associations/organizations; and 5) serve on committees and participate in 
official activities at the department, college and university levels.

QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:  A Master’s degree in Rehabilitation 
Counseling, Counseling, or related field is required.  A doctorate is 
preferred.  ABD will be considered.  Applicants must either hold licensure 
as CRC or LPC or eligible for licensure. Experience with instructional 
technology (internet, instructional software, Blackboard) and the ability to 
teach in traditional and non-traditional formats and settings (off-campus, 
weekends, on-line, or ITV) are preferred. Applied experience in the field 
of Rehabilitation Counseling/Counseling is highly valued.
