PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT (Oct. 4, 2010) from Attorney General Richard Cordray

Today is the first day of Ohio’s Cyber Safety Week. While the Internet is a great tool for doing research or staying in touch with friends, a lot of people get online with dangerous intentions.  Be smart when you use the Internet and protect yourself, particularly when using blogs and social networking sites like Facebook or MySpace.  When you use these sites, stay anonymous. Avoid posting information such as your last name, address, phone number, home town or wherever you hang out on your social networking profile or blog.  If you’re concerned about something happening online to you or a friend, tell a trusted adult.
