[Counselor_Educ] Recruitment of student volunteers for the 2010 All Ohio Counselors Conference

So far I have only heard from two students who  plan to volunteer. 

Don't pass up this opportunity to attend and be involved in a wonderful
professional development opportunity. The deadline is Oct 8, 2010.

The Ohio Counseling Association seeks student volunteers for the annual
conference to be held November 3 - November 5, 2010 at the Easton Hilton
Hotel in Columbus, Ohio.  Volunteers are needed for the following tasks:

 

*	Commit to attending conference for scheduled time slot
*	Greet participants in assigned content sessions
*	Distribute and collect evaluations for content sessions
*	Assist presenters with set-up and audio-visual management
*	Staff OCA Information Table in Exhibition Area
*	Provide entry data of evaluation forms

 

Student volunteers will receive the following benefits:

*	Complimentary registration for the entire conference, except for
pre-conferences and the lunch/awards. If you would like to attend any of
these special sessions, you must register and pay for them. 
*	The opportunity to meet Ohio counselors from diverse fields of
interest.

 

NOTE: If you are not an OCA or OSCA student member you must submit an OCA or
OSCA student membership registration before October 8, 2010. You may
download the forms from: https://www.ohiocounseling.org/join.htm or
http://www.ohioschoolcounselor.org/memberships.htm 

 

If you are able to volunteer during an assigned time, please do the
following:

 

*	Submit your name to Dr. Bhat.
*	If all slots assigned to your program are full, you will be put on
the wait list.
*	Email your volunteer application form to Dr. Kaelber
(kkaelber at malone.edu) before October 8, 2010.

For questions, e-mail Dr. Kara Kaelber at kkaelber at malone.edu. Dr. Kaelber
will confirm your status as a 2010 OCA volunteer by email. Mr. Tim Luckhaupt
will coordinate your activities on site at the conference.
