Show, by your actions, that you choose peace over war, freedom over oppression, voice over silence, service over self-interest, respect over advantage, cooperation over competition, action over passivity, diversity over uniformity, and justice over all.

Hello Dr. Tracy Leinbaugh,
You have been identified as the CACREP liaison for your university from the CACREP website. Thank you for completing the survey we sent a few weeks ago. We would also appreciate your support with this research project on "Post-masters counseling experience prior to doctoral enrollment" by forward this message to your current doctoral students who have completed two years of coursework, and doctoral alumni who have graduated within the last three years.
Thank you,
Dr. Nadine Hartig, Radford University, Dr. Nancy Bodenhorn, Laura Farmer, Jasmine Graham, Michelle Ghoston, Jesse Lile, and Corrine Sackett, Virginia Tech.

Potential participants:
If you are a current doctoral student who has completed your first two years of coursework in a Counselor Education and Supervision (CES) program, or if you graduated from a CES program in the last 3 years, please participate in a research study being conducted on "Post-masters counseling experience prior to doctoral enrollment".
Please note; if you have graduated from a CES program in the last three years and are currently a faculty member in a CES program, you may also be receiving a request to participate from the perspective of a new faculty member. While part of the same broad study, the questions are different, and we would appreciate your responses to both surveys. The website and consent information for the new faculty survey is located at: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/newCESfaculty
This survey, for current students in, and recent graduates of, CES programs, is designed to answer the following research question: How do advanced doctoral students and recent doctoral graduates reflect on whether and how their post-master's counseling experience or lack of experience impacted their experiences as a doctoral student?
The survey is anonymous, voluntary, and you may stop at any time during the process. The survey includes 19 questions with multiple choice or scaling responses, and requests for explanation of your response to 14 of those questions. Completing the survey should take no more than 15 minutes. No identifiable risks or benefits exist by completing the survey, other than the benefit of clarifying current professional practices, which will benefit future Counselor Education students. No promise or guarantee of benefits has been made to encourage you to participate.
This study is partially supported by a SACES research grant, and is being conducted by Nancy Bodenhorn, Associate Professor, Virginia Tech; Nadine Hartig, Assistant Professor, Radford University; and Laura Farmer, Jasmine Graham, Michelle Ghoston, Jesse Lile, and Corrine Sackett, Doctoral students at Virginia Tech. These researchers are the only individuals who will have access to the data. Data will be kept electronically on password protected computers for three years, then deleted from the computer files. Please direct any questions regarding the study to Nancy Bodenhorn at nanboden at vt.edu<mailto:nanboden at vt.edu>, or if the questions are in regard to research compliance, to David Moore, Chair of VT IRB at moored at vt.edu<mailto:moored at vt.edu>. The IRB at Virginia Tech has approved this research study.
If you will volunteer to complete the survey, please go to the website below. Entering the survey website indicates that you have read the documented description, agree to the terms, and give voluntary consent to participate.
