Tenure-Track School Counseling, Counselor Education:  The Department of Counseling and Special Education at Central Michigan University invites applications for a tenure-track appointment in the area of School Counseling at the level of Assistant Professor effective August 2011.  A doctorate in counselor education or related area is required (ABD considered).  School counseling experience and eligibility as a Licensed Professional Counselor or Licensed School Counselor in Michigan required. We are seeking a generalist who can teach a variety of courses in the school counseling curriculum, with a willingness to teach at off-campus locations as needed.

The position involves graduate teaching, advising, supervising student research, and maintaining an active research agenda. Applicants must have evidence of potential for teaching excellence and research productivity.
