Associate Professor in Counselor Education

The Department of Educational and Counseling Psychology (ECPY) is accepting applications for an associate professor position. The Department is  beginning the process of obtaining CACREP accreditation for our Ph.D. program in Counselor Education and master's programs with specializations in school counseling and mental health counseling.  The individual in this position is expected to play an integral role in moving these programs toward CACREP accreditation.

Minimum Qualifications
The Department of Educational and Counseling Psychology is seeking candidates with a doctorate in Counselor Education from a CACREP accredited program. Candidates must have a strong commitment to teaching, scholarship, university and community service and diversity, and knowledge of current national counselor training standards (CACREP).

Preferred Qualifications
Preferred candidates will have experience teaching graduate courses in the areas of school and/or mental health counseling, an established research agenda evident through previous lines of inquiry, and experience working with diverse populations. The applicant should also be license-eligible as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the state of Kentucky.

Salary: Competitive, based upon qualifications and experience

Appointment: 10-month with possibility of summer teaching

Beginning Date: Fall 2011
