TITLE:	9-month Assistant Professor (tenure-track) 

EFFECTIVE DATE:	Fall 2011

SALARY:		Commensurate with education and experience

Required Qualifications:  Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology or Counselor Education.
License-eligible in NM. 

New Mexico State University, the state's Land Grant University, is nestled
between the Organ Mountains and the Mesilla Valley in sunny Las Cruces. The
Counseling & Educational Psychology Department is housed in the College of
Education and has an APA-accredited Ph.D. program in Counseling Psychology, a
NASP-approved School Psychology Ed.S. program, and a CACREP-accredited MA
program in Mental Health Counseling.  We seek to employ a faculty member who is
a culturally-competent educator, researcher, and trainer.

Examples of Duties: Teach graduate and undergraduate courses; supervise graduate
students' practica, field experiences, research and teaching; conducts research
that contributes to NMSU research foci; and obtain external funding in these areas.

Preferred Qualifications:  Demonstrated professional involvement in APA, ACA,
AMHCA, and/or ASCA and scholarly work within the profession. Graduated from an
APA-approved program and internship or CACREP-accredited program. Experience
with supervision and training of mental health providers.
