Input needed on ACGME-accredited programs with Osteopathic Recognition
AACOM is conducting a survey to identify resources that are/will be available to M.D. students and graduates seeking to fulfill prerequisites for ACGME-accredited programs with Osteopathic Recognition. The online survey<https://www.surveygizmo.com/s3/2580862/Educational-Resources-for-MDs-Survey> about initiatives and programs you are aware of will be available through March 4.

Prospective med students impressed at Grandview pre-med reception
The Heritage College and Grandview Medical Center recently held a successful pre-med reception for prospective medical students. More than 30 people attended the event which featured an OMT demonstration and a presentation by Director of Admissions Jill Harman. Heritage College students Ayesha Yahya, OMS IV, Randy Smith, OMS IV, and Alex Pennekamp, OMS III, answered questions and talked about life as a medical student. CORE Assistant Dean Nicklaus Hess, D.O. ('12) and other Grandview staff and physicians were also on hand to answer questions. 'Godfather' of patient centered medical home concept to speak at OOS
Paul Grundy, M.D., an active social entrepreneur and speaker on global health care transformation, will be the keynote speaker at the Ohio Osteopathic Symposium, which runs from April 20-24 in Columbus. Grundy is the founding president of the Patient Centered Primary Care Collaborative and director of IBM Global Healthcare Transformation. Heritage College faculty presenting at Celebrate Women conference
M. Joycelyn Elders, M.D., a former U.S. Surgeon General, will be the keynote speaker at the Celebrate Women Conference being held at Ohio University Lancaster on March 18. The conference focuses on health care and wellness and features sessions with several Heritage College faculty including Paige Gutheil Henderson, D.O. ('02), Jody Gerome, D.O. Health sciences research symposium set for March
The Heritage College and Ohio University's College of Health Sciences and Professions are hosting the second annual Interdisciplinary Health Sciences Research Symposium on March 25 in Athens. The symposium will feature scientists of interdisciplinary teams from the university's biomedical community who will share their cutting-edge, innovative work. The event is free but requires registration due to space limitations. It will be available through video streaming to the Dublin and Cleveland campuses. Residency Directors Fellowship Program to accept applications soon
The Heritage College will be accepting applications for the Residency Directors Fellowship Program in the next few weeks. RDFP's focus is to help Ohio-based osteopathic residency directors and medical education coordinators/administrators build their administrative knowledge and skills. Stay tuned for an email from Olivia Ojano-Sheehan, Ph.D., assistant director of faculty development at the Heritage College, with more details about how to apply for the program.

Introducing top health apps feature
Beginning next month, the Clinical Campus News will introduce you to the top 10 health apps recommended by the journal Physicians Practice. We'll share their assessment and ask for your feedback on the apps you use to do your job.

New on the Heritage College blog
In celebration of its 40th anniversary, the Heritage College has launched the Ohio University Medicine blog<http://ohiouniversitymedicine.com/>, which includes stories about the people and programs that helped the college become what it is today and our ideas and initiatives for the future. Recent posts have featured former Ohio State Senator Harry Meshel, Professor Emeritus of Family Medicine Anthony Chila, D.O., and Multimedia Producer and Director Mark Loudin.
