Actually, I evaluate practicums and field experiences every semester. However, they only load into Class Climate if you have 5 or more students enrolled. We do not evaluate courses at Ohio University with less than 5 students to protect anonymity. Responses received from classes with very low enrollments might make it easier for the respondent to be identified – especially in the case of a course with only 1-2 people in it. I believe other universities also set such limits.
I hope this helps. Someone else might have a further explanation, but that’s my understanding.

The rules for the Class Climate extraction program were made by the academic units. Howard (copied here) is a leader in the Class Climate users’ group, so perhaps he can provide the reasoning behind leaving those course types out in the first place and describe how you might go about getting approval to add them into the extraction requirements.

Hi Megan: A question came up in our recent meeting with clinical coordinators. Currently, I know that Class Climate does not generate course evaluations for practicum and field experiences. However, is this something that can be changed in the system? Part of our college initiative in assessment is to have college-wide data on student feedback on these experiences.

I had a primary instructor added for my courses that hadn’t loaded (NRSE 4510, sections 1075-1086). The instructor was added yesterday morning, and I thought the courses would load overnight but they still are not listed in Class Climate.

These courses do not have a primary instructor indicated in PeopleSoft. I only see Briju Thankachan listed as a secondary instructor. Without a primary instructor, the Class Climate extraction process will not pull the course.
