Kim,
I’m still getting the Scantron error message saying our mail service is not correctly configured. I’m worried that this will cause problems with our summer course evaluations, which go out Friday. Please let me know if someone is working on this on your end. The error message I’m getting is:


Attention: The Mail Service appears to be incorrectly configured. This can lead to problems regarding the system functionality e.g. the processing of scheduled tasks. Please contact the support team to verify the configuration of the Mail Service on the server. As soon as the configuration has been corrected this message will not be shown again.

Dear Kim McClain,

I am writing to you on behalf of Jody Grenert.  Jody reported an error message in Class Climate on Tuesday, regarding the Mail Service.  There are two possible causes for this error:

1.  The ESCC Mail Service on the Class Climate Server is not Started.
2.  The config.ini file located at:  C:\Program Files\Scantron\MailService\ is not properly configured.

Please verify that the service is running.  If it is running, and Jody continues to receive the Mail Serivce Error, please call me at 800-445-3141, so that we can take a look at the config.ini file.
