I hope that everyone had an enjoyable holiday season.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:12.0pt'>As you are all aware of by now, winter (spring) semester is the busy season for Bird Arena. Our patrons visit our great facility twice as often during the winter than they do in the fall. This means double the amount of people at recreational skating, midnight meltdowns, birthday bashes, group lessons and all other programming. The large increase in numbers through our doors means we have to be on top of our game to help serve the needs of our patrons.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>Part of ensuring the success of our operation during the peak season falls on the shoulders of our leadership team which includes 6 student manager positions. Those positions are Events Manager (Talli Topp), Maintenance Manager (Greg Leff), Office Manager (Mackenzie Snyder), Concessions Manager (Gretchen Klaber), Pro Shop Manager (Eric Adelsberger), Skating Director (Parker DeWeese). All of the managers listed began working at Bird As Recreational Assistants and through promotion, earned the spots they are in now.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>Next year, I am projecting that 4 of the 6 manager positions will need to be filled. This email is to serve as notification to all Bird Arena Staff members that applications for promotion to fill these positions are now being accepted.
