Greetings  fellow cyclists!

We would like to thank you for stopping by our table at the involvement fair. For those of you who are new to OU, welcome to Athens! This town has so much to offer outside of campus. By joining the Ohio University Mountain Bike Club you've made the first step to getting out of town and into the beautiful Appalachian country side Athens has to offer. Be it on back roads or in the woods, OU MTB club will be your tour guide and get you enjoying the outdoors. This years' officers have extensive cross-discipline riding experience, event and trip planning experience, vast bicycle maintenance know-how, bicycle safety do's and don'ts, and a deep passion for all things cycling. With years of racing under our belts we are a performance minded group that are driven to help you better your skills and fitness on the bike. By diving in and participating we guarantee you will become more comfortable and more confident on your bike.

Our first meeting will be highly informative and not one to miss. It will be held next Thursday. That is September 5th at 8:00 pm in Morton Hall room 222. In the meantime please check out or facebook pages at https://www.facebook.com/groups/OUMTB/ for most mountain bike activity. And the occasionally used https://www.facebook.com/groups/215365815193552/ for all kinds of cycling. If you are itching to get out and ride before the meeting check out these great maps of nearby trails on the far right hand side of the page on http://www.athenscyclepath.com<http://www.athenscyclepath.com/Athens_Trail.php>. You will also soon be receiving an email regarding our mailing list. You easily contact the entire mountain bike club by sending an email to biking-l at listserv.ohio.edu. It's a great way to quickly communicate and plan short notice, day-to-day rides.
