This is it - we got some trail work we can do this Saturday. We need a ton of people to show up so we can fix the trails and we'll even get some hours for this. I'll go ahead and tell Jim some people are interested - I know I'll probably be going, and you guys should too. I'll keep you posted on the details.

Below you'll find info about a trail maintenance session my friend Jim is putting together this Saturday. If you guys or any of your compadres are able to make it, there is serious work to be done and Jim could use any help he can get.

I'm already committed to co-hosting a ladies breakfast and bike ride at the same time, so unless the ladies decide they are afraid of the weather I won't be at the trail maintenance this time.

There are multiple downed trees, and sticks and branches cover many sections of trail.

Athens Bicycle Club / Friends of Strouds Run member Jim Schulz is heading up a trail maintenance session this Saturday, March 13, at 10 a.m.

Jim could use a lot of helpers and has high hopes of having several chainsaw crews working simultaneously. Anyone who is interested in helping should e-mail Jim at jschulz at columbus.rr.com<mailto:jschulz at columbus.rr.com>. Once he knows how many people are interested in helping he'll figure out who should meet where and who will head up the crews.

Please consider volunteering some of your weekend recreation time to fixing our wonderful trail system.
