The annual Study Abroad Fair is on Monday, Oct. 10, 2011 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Baker Center Ballroom. The Study Abroad Fair gives participants the opportunity to learn about the endless possibilities to study, teach, work, volunteer and intern abroad. <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="FONT-FAMILY: Arial">ATHENS, OHIO (Oct. 3, 2011) – On Columbus Day, the Office of Education Abroad is celebrating the exploration of traveling abroad with its annual Study Abroad Fair on Monday, Oct. 10, 2011 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Baker Center Ballroom.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="FONT-FAMILY: Arial"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="FONT-FAMILY: Arial">The event is free and open to the public and provides attendees ready access to representatives from Ohio University study abroad programs, OHIO affiliates and other providers all in the same room. In celebration of the event, ten T-shirts will be given away to attendees every hour.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="FONT-FAMILY: Arial"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="FONT-FAMILY: Arial">The Study Abroad Fair gives students a chance to speak with program directors and past participants as well as take advantage of on-the-spot advising with trained study abroad advisers. Information about financial aid, scholarships and passports will also be available.<span><span style="FONT-FAMILY: Arial"></span></span></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="FONT-FAMILY: Arial">With hundreds of programs in more than 40 countries, attendees are exposed to the endless possibilities to study, teach, work, volunteer and intern abroad. The majority of Ohio University’s 60+ programs will be represented at the fair, as well as programs offered by OHIO affiliates and third-party providers. </span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="FONT-FAMILY: Arial">“The study abroad fair is the perfect opportunity for students to explore their options, speak face-to-face with program representatives and begin planning their journey abroad,” said Catherine Marshall, Director of the Office of Education Abroad.</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="FONT-FAMILY: Arial">The Study Abroad Fair gives attendees the opportunity to explore all of the opportunities through Office of Education Abroad, allowing participants to discover their dream destinations and opportunities. Last year, more than 700 students traveled abroad through Ohio University, many of whom began their journey at the Study Abroad Fair.</span></p>
