                <td><p> <strong>Peter Alegi</strong> is an associate professor of history at Michigan State University and the author of <em>Laduma! Soccer, Politics</em><em>, and</em> <em>Society in South Africa (2004) </em>and <em><em>African Soccerscapes, How a Continent Changed the World's Game</em></em> (2010) published by Ohio University Press-Swallow Press.<br />
He is an editorial board member of the<em>International Journal of African Historical Studies</em>, book review editor of <em>Soccer and Society</em>, and an editorial board member of the <em>Interdisciplinary e-journal of African Sports, Impumelelo</em>. <br />
                  Alegi was a fulbright scholar at the University of Kwazulu Natal, South Africa in 2010. His blog, <a href="http://www.footballiscominghome.info/author/peter/">Football Is Coming Home</a>, provided  daily comments and reflections on the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa.</p></td>
