Dear ASU,

The Global Health Program, the College of Health Sciences and Professions and the African Studies Program of Ohio University are sponsoring an international 

conference, “Women and Children’s Health in Africa: clinical and social perspectives,” on March 29-30, 2013. The conference is aimed at raising awareness of the 

status of women and children’s health across the continent and assess efforts to 1) reduce child mortality and 2) improve maternal health and that of all women in 

Africa.

A committee of five members from ASU is to be formed to help coordinate the activities of the conference. Interested members are thus encouraged to respond to 

this email with their details as soon as possible.
