<div dir="ltr">Hey bros!<div><br></div><div>I just wanted to let you all know about a really cool opportunity APhiO has coming up next month. February 20th is the Good Works Walk, but this is a completely different kind of walk than most of us have done before. This is not a run or a timed race, but it's more of a way to raise awareness about poverty in Southeastern Ohio. There are four different walks available that focus on different topics. For instance, one walk goes to the Timothy House, which provides shelters for people without homes, one walk simulates the experiences of homeless people, and another walk has demonstrations on how life's choices and events effect poverty for individuals over the course of their lifetime. I'm really excited about this opportunity for APhiO and I hope you guys are too!</div><div><br></div><div>There are a couple different ways to get involved:</div><div>1. Help with set up from 7:45 am - 9:15 am (the first five people to sign up will get free t-shirts from last year's Good Works Walk)</div><div>2. Walk the event from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm, then help with serving and cleaning up lunch from 12:00 - 1:00</div><div><br></div><div>There is no required registration fee, but Good Works would love to have a $10 donation, which gets you a t-shirt at the event. Of course, if you're able to donate more that's always welcome! If you'd also like to raise more money for Good Works, you can ask friends and family to sponsor you for the event. I've attached an information packet about sponsors. </div><div><br></div><div>I also wanted to encourage any RA's we have in APhiO that this could be a great event to do as a group with your residents!</div><div><br></div><div>The events are up on the website now, so everyone should sign up!
