Chapter Minutes 4/7/13

Quiz-

   1. Who won the Facebook competition for guessing the amount Relay raised
   this weekend?
   2. How much did Relay raise this weekend?
   3. What are the last 2 mandatory events for membership and when are they?

Caleb is running for Voice, and running to be the next student senate. They
want to take all the plastic bags out of markets and everyone will get tote
bags, they will also make the bus system more eco friendly, smoothie bar in
ping! Working with uptown to use meals uptown. Vote Voice on April 18!!!!

President

- Office hours Thursday 1-2 in our office

Ombudsmen

   - Give a shout out to a bro that has gone above and beyond lately!
   - Interviews! Please take your time and actually talk to the pledges

J-Board

   - Nominations- Youth Service (Chelsea Rose), Faculty Pageant, Relay
   - Elections next week, pledges cannot vote, actives elections will be
   short so please show up and vote

Relay

   - Cheers to everyone who helped out this weekend!
   - Anyone still need to pick up their shirt?
   - There are no more Relay hours! (aside from extreme circumstances)
   - Winners of the Relay competition
   - Allison Barwacz in 1st place!!! 2nd is Stephen bell and Eric Barwacz
   and Caleb Howell tied for third. Honorable mention to Val Hudak. The
   winning family is Iota!
   - Winners come get your prizes. Family Iota when do you want your pizza
   party+what movie do you wanna watch?
   - This weekend we raised $1676!!!! The winner of the Facebook
   competition for a lap dance from Robert is Nate Freeman!

Service

   - There are a TON of service projects on the website!
   - Blood Drive tomorrow 4/8 and 4/10
   - Student Expo 4/11
   - 4/12 Beach volleyball tournament (team does not have to be all Aphio
   members as long as you are signed up on the website and the sign in)
   - 4/13 Ice skating show
   - 4/14 Basketball tournament, dodgeball tournament
   - People who are signed up for Athens Beautification Day you need to
   register on the eventbrite website ASAP
   - ATCO volunteers come sign a card for Jesse!

Membership

-Mandatory Events-

-History Night Thursday 4/18 meet in Walter 135 by 7:45, wear whatever
you want,
this event is especially important if you have a little.

-Initiation- Friday 4/26 meet in Walter 135 by 7:15 Dress up!

-Sign up on the website

-Sign up to donate the the pledge food drive for athens county food pantry!
or just bring what you can

-Sign up by this Friday if you want a new service pin- $5

-Winter 2012 Pledge Class come get your membership card and certificate if
you haven’t already

-The following people need to make themselves available for pledges to get
your signatures! Mattie Ropelweski, Abigail Millar, Genna Stoffel, Mara
Hasenstaub, Melanie Oreskovich, Anna Schuller, Kacee Babinger, Caroline
Denzinger and Veronica Sefchik

-Give us your ideas for Rush next semester!

Fellowship

-Signature Party 4/8 7pm in Grover

-Family stuff- Make sure you are getting your hour, theres only a few weeks
left! Family heads id you didn’t come to the fellowship committee meeting
please see us. Psi needs a Family head!

-Color Wars Shirts- $6 for just the shirt, $8 to tiedye with us 4/24,
please bring your money to us tonight!

Faculty Pageant

-Hours are up! If you don’t have your hours, reply to the email sent via
listserve

-If you want to run for Faculty Pageant come talk to us!

-Camp Quality people (June 1 or 16 and July 13-20) Meet with Rachel after
Chapter

Fundraising

-Positive: Thanks to anyone who came out and helped this weekend! We
couldn’t have done it without you!

-Negative- There were 67 spots for fundraising left unfilled this week. To
those who still need their hours...that was your opportunity

-This is the last week for fest tank sales. Look out for those on the
website.

-Still need your hours? Here are your options- get on the fest tank sale
before everyone else, or since so many people still need 2 hours you can
now get both hours from buying things

-1 hour=1 tumbler($10), 1 hat($8), 2 pairs of sunglasses($10), or a fest
tank ($10)

-Sign up on the website (April 21) if you have already bought a fest
tank/want one or if you want a hat or tumbler

Youth Service

-Pop Tap competition next chapter April 14th, collect and bring in as many
pop tabs as you can, we will be competing by families but size of the
family won’t make a difference, the winning family will get a pizza party,
details TBD

-GKTW

-Science Museum Service Opps, in the Athens “Mall” on State St, its super
fun and interactive, Saturdays!

-Remember tabling

Historian

-Senior chords will be here in the next few weeks!

-If anyone has pictures send them to Michael

5K

-Thank you so much for supporting Good Works at the Mom’s Luncheon

Service Week

-Committee make sure you’re throwing your ideas on Google Doc

Inter Chapter

-Shirts if you are registered and paid look for times throughout the week
in Baker

-Money- if you owe it to us, get it to us

-Hours- If you’re missing them but did them email us ASAP

-Committee we’ll be posting hours later this week
